Volunteer
The Taste would not be possible without the help of our loyal volunteers. We have a variety of volunteer positions available before, during and after the event. If you are interested please contact Susan Kelly,
Set Up Volunteers, Morning Shift (Pre-Event)
Set up duties include, but are not limited to: Unloading truck, registration table, unwrap auction items, assemble wine glass tower, and set plastic ware.
Greeters
Scattered throughout the lobby area, people in this position will be directing folks to the appropriate area to be checked in and to enter the event. They will also encourage guests to visit the Silent Auction and direct them to Auction pay in order to obtain a bidder number.
Bouncers
Welcoming guests with a smile and directing them to silent auction and coat check, making sure that everyone who is coming into the event has a wristband and handing out wine totes to guests as they leave the event.
Bussers
You will be assigned specific cocktail tables, vendors and trash bins that you will be taking care of for the evening. This position must pay particular attention to keeping our event green by composting and recycling. In this position, you will be communicating with vendors regularly and replenishing plates, utensils, cups and napkins.
Photographer's Assistant
The volunteer assistant should help collect the names of guests and volunteers whose photos are taken and ask if they approve of the Food Bank for Larimer County and Neighbor to Neighbor using their photo.
Auction Pay
This is a quick and easy way to help our guests pay for their auction items by capturing credit card information at registration, which eliminates the need for long cashier lines after the event.
Silent Auction Assistants
Silent Auction Assistants ensure a smooth silent auction process. They are responsible for encouraging guests to bid on items, promoting the Auction Pay system and answering any questions about the bidding process. A team leader will assign certain bid sheets to each Assistant and immediately after the Silent Auction closes, each volunteer will be responsible for determining the winners on the sheets.
Operations Table
TASTE committee members, guests of committee chairs and subcommittee members will be directed to the Operations Table for wristbands. Late restaurant and beverage vendors, judges and media will also be directed to this table where volunteers will help in getting these folks checked in for the event.
Palette of Plates
Palette of Plates Assistants ensures a smooth silent auction process. They are responsible for encouraging guests to bid on items, promoting Auction Pay system and answering any questions about the bidding process.
Clean-Up Aides
Due to the partnership between The Hilton, Food Bank for Larimer County and Neighbor to Neighbor at this event we need to be careful to not pack items that belong to the hotel and that items that belong to the non-profits are returned to the correct facility.
